Rainbows End is a Bed and Breakfast. Short and Sweet.
It is also my Home for now. So quite literally you can call it a Home away from Home. That is also how a lot of my Guests experience and afterwards describe their stay here. Because my things and the House are my base, you too will be able to sense the feeling of Home.
It is a conscious choice for me not to own a TV and not to have WIFI. I like to be in an environment where our automatic pilot does not disturb us without a good reason. Where there is calm even with people in the house. Where we may move a bit slower. Where a conversation or a silence between people takes up more ”space” than technical devices. Where it is possible to spend a little time reflecting without a bunch of input from the World Wide Web. Where you can read a book or play a game. Where you will lay down to rest with your beloved or take a beautiful walk in the forrest. Where you can draw, paint or write….
You will find WIFI on the property. However, you will need to be outside which is why that option is mostly useful in the warmer parts of the year.
All the Practical stuff:
The House:
In all I have three bedrooms for rent. Two double bedrooms are on the first floor and on the ground floor you can spend the night in quite a sizeable bedroom.
You will find one spacious bathroom on the ground floor to share between all guests. Six people are the maximum amount of visitors staying at Rainbows End at the same time. You will also find the Kitchen on the ground floor which you are welcome to use. On the 1. floor you share a large living room for relaxation and social interaction. I invite you to make you feel at home.
The beds: In both rooms upstairs the bed can either be a 180×200 doublebed or two single beds. The bed in the room on the Ground floor is a 180×200 doublebed.
Prices and Payment:
The prices you see here are with everything included: The room, Breakfast, Bed linen, Towels, VAT/taxes, Heating, Electricity.
One night:
- 1 person 575 Danish Kroner (Dkr.)
- 2 persons 825 Dkr. *
- 3 persons 1299 Dkr. **
- 4 persons 1599 Dkr.
- 5 persons 2000 Dkr.
- 6 persons 2350 Dkr.
* If 2 people would like seperate bedrooms the price is: 1150 Dkr.
** If 3 people would like seperate bedrooms the price is: 1725 Dkr.
Two nights:
- 1 person 975 Danish Kroner (Dkr.)
- 2 persons 1599 Dkr. ***
- 3 persons 2555 Dkr. ****
- 4 persons 3198 Dkr.
- 5 persons 3888 Dkr.

Children and Payment:
Children between the ages 0-7 are free of charge. Children between the ages 8-13 will get 100 Dkr. off.
Payment is CASH ONLY. I prefer Danish Kroner! But I will also accept EURO and British Pounds.
Breakfast:
The breakfast is vegetarian and mainly organic.
You can have or make breakfast at any time you choose as long as it is before 11 am if you are checking out.
There are two different ways in which Breakfast is handled.
1) Breakfast served by me:
When I am in the house I will offer to serve you Breakfast at your chosen time. This is how I have done it naturally since the beginning in 2016 and I will continue to do so, if I am home. In this version I will do all of it: Set the table, make and serve the Breakfast and clean up after.
2) Breakfast served by you:
To create a little more freedom for me and my contribution to the world, I have made a concept which is called: Breakfast served by you. It means there will be times where I am not home to serve you breakfast and that you under these circumstances get it yourself. In case of Breakfast served by you, you will in the fridge find the following:
- Homemade bread you can heat in the oven – app. 15 minutes at 150 degrees from a cold oven.
- Toppings for your bread and butter on a tray
- Cut up fruit in a plastic container – one for each person
- Youghurt or Skyr
- Water, Apple- and Orangejuice
- Maybe a stack of pancakes you can heat in the oven between 15 – 20 minutes at 150 degrees from a cold oven.
In the glass cupboard where you find plates and cutlery you will also find: Honey, Chocolate for bread, Skyrtopping, Nut Spread and home made müsli. Coffee and Tea are on the table. The kettle for boiling water is in the Kitchen.
Breakfast served by you will be deducted 40 Danish Kroner per person from the price paid. You can also choose to have Breakfast served by you when I am home.
If you are here for one night just rinse plates, cups and cutlery and leave them in the kitchen. If you are her for more than one night, please do the dishes.
Check in and check out:
It is possible for you to check in from 12 pm until 10 pm.
Check in time before or after this time frame is also possible to arrange with me if necessary. I will always be happy to know your estimated time of arrival. If I am not home when you arrive, I will give you specific instructions as to how you can check in anyway.
Check out needs to happen no later than 11 am on your day of departure.
Cancellation:
You can cancel your booking until 2 pm on the day of your arrival.
Pets:
I have a cat who lives inside and outside the house. Her name is Liva. She needs to be the only animal Queen on the property and thus you cannot bring your own pet. However, I have had a few guests who brougt their dogs and who let the dog sleep in the car or kept it exclusively in the rented room during the stay.
